HD KIP Search for Odderon Induced Contributions to Exclusive Photoproduction at HERA

This diploma thesis is about the Odderon which is the C P partner of the Pomeron Thus its couplings to a particle and its antiparticle are not equal which in principle should be measurable in pp and p p scattering A search for contributions of Odderon photon fusion to the exclusive production of the pseudoscalar in the process ep e N in the photoproduction regime is subject of this thesis The investigated data with an integrated luminosity of pb were recorded in with the H detector at the storage ring HERA at DESY in Hamburg The measure ment was carried out at an average photon proton centre of mass energy of GeV and for photon virtualities of Q GeV The high energetic is reconstructed through its decay into two photons Furthermore the measurement proceeds via the detection of the leading neutron from the N decay and the detection of the scattered electron No indication for the presence of Odderon contributions can be found As a result an upper limit of the cross section is derived to p N nb with a con dence level of and p N nb with a con dence level of
